Bath To Shower

Project type

Bathroom Renovate

Date

Oct 24

This bathroom was transformed from a traditional bath to a modern walk-in shower, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The goal here was to create a space that feels luxurious yet practical, blending contemporary style with warm, inviting details.

Let’s start with the shower. Replacing the bathtub with a sleek walk-in shower completely changed the functionality of the space. The frameless glass enclosure, framed in elegant gold tones, instantly adds a sense of luxury. The large rainfall showerhead, also in gold, elevates the experience—it’s not just a shower; it’s a spa moment every day.

For the fittings, I chose a floating vanity unit with a deep teal finish. The color brings a subtle pop to the room without overwhelming it, while the white countertop and integrated sink keep it fresh and modern. Gold fixtures throughout, including the sink faucet and the concealed cistern’s flush plate, tie everything together seamlessly and add just the right amount of glamour. The wall-mounted toilet complements the clean, minimalist aesthetic while making the space feel larger.

The materials and finishes were carefully selected to balance texture and sophistication. The shower walls are clad in stunning large-format marble-look tiles with beautiful blue and grey veining. These tiles create depth and visual interest while maintaining a calm, serene vibe. For the walls and floor outside the shower, I went with wood-effect tiles with a subtle groove detail. They bring warmth and a natural feel to the design while also being practical and durable for a bathroom.

Lighting was another important consideration. The LED-lit mirrors above the vanity not only provide perfect task lighting but also create a soft, ambient glow. Paired with ceiling spotlights, the room feels bright and open while maintaining a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

Finally, the finishing touches really bring it all together. A few well-placed accessories—a delicate orchid, a reed diffuser, and neatly folded towels—add personality and soften the overall look. These small details make the space feel lived-in and uniquely tailored to the client.

Overall, this transformation is all about balance—luxury meets functionality, bold finishes meet natural textures, and a stylish design meets the practical needs of daily life. It’s a space that feels as good as it looks, and I’m thrilled to have been part of making it happen!
